Andrea Tosi

Andrea Tosi is an Italian composer for film, television and musical theatre, orchestrator and conductor. His career spans over thirty years of professional work in Italy and abroad, from film scores to large-format theatre, from public service television to the recording industry.

His work focuses on the intersection of contemporary symphonic writing, theatrical languages and musical storytelling: every score is born from deep listening to the project and the identity of those who bring it to life.


He has composed scores for over fifteen international and Italian film productions. Key credits: Imprinting (qualified for Academy Awards 2025), Frammenti (Award of Excellence Best Score, USA), Yes Regrets (Best Documentary Award, AOF International Film Festival), Il Magico Natale di Rupert (Premio della Presidenza della Repubblica, distributed by Istituto Luce), –107 (Palmarès Best Soundtrack, Festival Mondial de l'Image Sous-Marine). He also served as vocal coach on 7 Women and a Murder (dir. Alessandro Genovesi, featuring Margherita Buy, Micaela Ramazzotti, Luisa Ranieri and others).


He has collaborated with RAI since the late 1980s, writing themes and scores for Rai1, Rai2 and Rai3. Productions include: Pianeta Proibito – Armi e Droga, Nel segno di Archimede and Castello di Rete (both winners of the Ministry of Entertainment Quality Award), Soul Days (live concert with Billy Preston and Sam Moore), Kaleidos (25-episode series), I misteri di Gravina, La Milano del Bagutta and others.


Composer and music director for numerous theatrical productions across Italy. Key works: The Christ – When Time Began Again (national tour, blessed by Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV), Evolushow 1 & 2 (with Enrico Brignano), Chiara di Dio (12 years on stage in Assisi), Patto di Luce, Un Fremito d'Ali, Firefly (Parksmania European Winner 2017), The Christ – When Time Began Again (dir. Chiara Noschese).

He has collaborated with major Italian performers including Iva Zanicchi, Marisa Laurito, Fiordaliso, Gianfranco D'Angelo, Corinne Clery, Paola Quattrini, Benedicta Boccoli and others.


From 1994 to 2009 he worked as musical assistant and artistic collaborator at the Teatro Sistina and Garinei & Giovannini productions, working alongside Italy's leading musical theatre composers.
