The Christ – When Time Began Again

The Christ – When Time Began Again is an original work that tells the entire life of Jesus of Nazareth, from childhood to crucifixion, in contemporary, accessible and deeply human theatrical language.

It is neither a catechetical nor confessional show, but an inter-confessional narrative that places at its centre the human figure, his message and the universal values that transcend time: love, justice, equality, inclusion. Designed for today's audience, The Christ speaks to believers and non-believers alike, offering an intense and poetic vision of a story that continues to challenge humanity.

Andrea Tosi's original score blends modern symphonic orchestration, choral writing, pop elements and theatrical sounds, building a musical universe that spans intimacy, drama, spirituality and emotion. Every piece is conceived as part of a single narrative architecture.

The work received the Blessing of Pope Francis. In November 2025 Pope Leo XIV, through the Secretariat of State, granted the Apostolic Blessing to the project, encouraging it to witness "Christian love and joy also through music" and noting that song gives voice to what words alone cannot express.
